Hi,
I’m using a MacBook pro with the latest updates. I also have Cubase 8.5 installed, which works just fine. When I try to start Cubase 9.0.3 I see the splash screen and it gets up to Initializing: Steinberg MR816 extensions then shuts down. (no, I am not using a MR816)
I’m using the internal sound card, I’ve tried trashing preferences (in both 8.5 and 9), performed first aid on my hard drive and have installed the latest version of E-licenser. I’ve also tried starting in safe mode, disabling and deleting program preferences. Nothing seems to help.
Not sure what else to do here. It’s been like this since over one year (V 9.0.1). I thought it would eventually be fixed with either Cubase updates or Mac updates but this is not the case. Like I’ve said, CB 8.5 is working fine, as is Logic X.
Needless to say any help would be greatly appreciated!
