I just made the update and my control surface is no longer recognized by cubase! ! 
Have you re-run through the setup process in Cubase device setup?
I have the Icon Platform M+.
Checked now and everything seems to be working fine for me. I do find that when the devices are not on before you load the project then they don’t work properly. I have this issue with my Keyboard controller as well. Maybe it’s the same for you.

yes, the device is shown on the panel but nothing is working
yes, but there is no communication between Cubase and Platform M!
in addition, there is no menu to choose the mode “Cubase compatibility”?
the problem is solved 
it works now in Mackie Control, there is no more “compatibility mode”
