Cubase 9.5.30 Odd behaviour

System
Mac OS High Sierra 10.3.5
Model Identifier: Macmini6,2
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB
L3 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Boot ROM Version: MM61.010E.B00
SMC Version (system): 2.8f0

Software
Cubase 9.5.30

Situation
New owner of UR824 and new Cubase 9.5 install

Problem
Midi events triggered from a controller keyboard (Korg Kontrol49)
Bottom right had of GUI shows midi data received in Cubase but notes not playing.
Ex. 1 : F1 key not sounding but F1# etc are sounding

Ex. 2 : Groove agent pads, assigned midi note # not triggering pads. C0 will trigger but not C#0

Troubleshooting
Countless reboots of software did not fix the groove agent problem. One reboot solved the F1 key from not sounding.
Studio setup correct driver installed, most recent patches installed.
Keyboard is not setup as a remote device in Midi area of Studio setup
Note
I should mention that my Roland Aira System 1 (SH101) plugin has audio peaks and drops when a note is played. It is as if a square LFO is attenuating the sound at a very slow rate. There is no such LFO in operation.

So, what can I do to fix this.

Hi and welcome,

Make sure Korg Kontrol 49 is not used in any Remote Devices, please. Open Studio > Studio Setup. In the Remote Devices folder on the left side make sure Korg is not used as an Input, or All Inputs is not used here.

Hello Mark,
I have the same issue. but my korg kontrol 49 is totally not working with my mac…at high sierra…
i am running cubase 9.5 too…
may I ask, did you make it run via USB?
what driver did you use? or any software?

I did connect it to a M-audio Uno midi interface, and it worked, with a powersupply but it works weird…while playing the keys, some unwanted notes are sounding…random…I find it really weird…
sorry, I know you’re asking for help too…Thanks for your post…
