Cubase 9.5 Crashes

So I updated to Cubase 9.5 from 8 and made an OS upgrade to do so. Ever since I’ve made that upgrade I’ve had multiple issues which I’ll list below:

It would crash any time I would open Cubase 8 files.
It would crash randomly when I would be working in Cubase 9.5 regardless of the file being created in that software.
It would crash when loading Kontakt 5 which hosts drum programming software that I often make use of.

When I reached out to Steinberg Support with the crash file, they suggested I uninstall Cubase 8 to solve the first problem. That doesn’t really seem like a sensible solution.

Is Cubase 9.5 horribly unstable? Are my files corrupted on my external? I can’t figure this out. I’d love to update to version 10, but after these issues, I’m wary about wasting $100 and experiencing the exact same issues.

I can post the crash report info but its probably like 20 pages lol.

Hi and welcome,

Make sure your plug-ins are up-to-date. Can you attach some crash files (the source *.crash file, please)?
