Cubase 9.5 elements transfer licence - please help

Hello to all, I have a huge problem. I bought in past cubase 9.5 elements to check the cubase and afterwards cubase 10.5 pro. Now after years I want to transfer in my MacBook cubase 9.5 elements to produce some early projects and continue them in my 10.5 pro in the big pc.

I realized in a bad way that I can’t transfer easily between pc’s. please help me I have only the soft licencer key for elements from my Steinberg and the e licences key for Cubase pro. the e licences app needs activation code. I am so disappointed.

Also I think that if I have to change at the future the pro I will have the same problem…

I’m not really sure I understand what you are trying to do.

Does this mean you want to install Cubase 9.5 Elements on your MacBook? That is not possible anymore, if you are trying to enable it via a Soft eLicenser, because the eLicenser service has been shutdown in May 2025.

So I guess you have a USB eLicenser for your Cubase 10.5 Pro. This will continue to work as long as the USB stick is functional. All you need here is the eLicenser Control Center installed on your machines.

As far as I remember the license for Cubase 10.5 should also enable the previous licenses, including Cubase 9.5. Try to connect the USB Stick to your MacBook and start Cubase 9.5 and see if it works.

However, you should clearly look into an update to the latest Cubase 14 release, so that you can get rid of the old eLicenser system.

Thank you so much for the answer. So I bought something I spent my money and now I can’t use it? Is it true and possible? I speak about elements.

Have you tried running Cubase 9.5 by connecting your USB eLicenser to the machine?

However, you should think about updating your licenses to the latest Cubase 14 release, that will work without the eLicenser.
