I just upgrade to Cubase 9.5 today and have this midi notes color issue.
There are two screenshots attached in this post, you can see normal midi notes color in Cubase 9 but blurry midi notes color in 9.5.
This blurry color is very uncomfortable for me as I used Cubase for almost 10years and really used to the original color.
I have just installed 9.5 so all the color settings are default.

I don’t see any “blurry” color. I just see a different color or maybe a different intensity of that color…
Regardless… check out the colors available in the key editor “event color” menu. If you like to have “velocity” showing then drop down to the “setup” section and change the color intensity from soft to loud to suit your taste there.

Thanks, I think I just found the right color for me,
not sure when did Steinberg change velocity default color, I just very used to the old style color
