Cubase 9 Elements crashes upon opening plugins

Hi all,

Just started using my copy of Cubase 9 and it seems to crash when I open new instruments (midi vst plugins). I would open a project fine, I would select add track - instrument and when i add the plugin it would crash. The plugins work fine standalone so I think it’s Cubase, just installed everything yesterday and apart from a few issues it ran smoothly. I’ve included the crash dump.

Advice?

EDIT: Here are my specs:
32GB DDR4 3200MHz
Ryzen 5 5600X
GTX 1650S
120GB SSD (some plugins are on seperate hard drives from previous VST installations).
1TB M.2 (where the new install is with most plugins.)
Windows 10 Pro

All plugins or just certain ones? Can you narrow down to which one? Are the plugins 64 or 32bit?

It’s just 64 bit, it’s no plugin in particular. I’m suspecting it could just be a bad midi file that I was using maybe?
