Cubase academic sell/give to friend?

Hi guys,

Is it possible to give me cubase 5 which i got as academic rate to my friend, i dont need it as i have at studio i work. i want to give it to my friend who will them pay to upgrade to 6.5 but can i change it to his name? Does anyone know for sure the search results provides mixed information…

Please note that educational products or licenses are personal.
They cannot be passed on or sold to any other third party or person.

So if you upgrade to V6.5 it will then be a Full licence and you can then legally pass/sell it on.

But according to here
after an upgrade you don´t have educational restrictions anymore, so if your friend wants to upgrade anyway, simply upgrade for him then sell officially…
