Hi, a Cubase LE license is available for you now. As Cubase AI 15 has been released, you can use that version as well.

I’ve just upgraded my computer to accommodate Windows 11. My soft eLicenser Controller was working fine up until the change over and I wasn’t aware of the changes. Now, of course I cannot access my CubaseLE 8 or WaveLab elements 9 programmes. I realise that eLicenser is no longer being supported. I know I have very old versions of Cubase and WaveLab which were both lifetime purchases. Can you please let me know how I can upgrade if necessary to supported LE versions. I have used Cubase since 2000 and don’t want to change system. Both programmes are listed in MySteinberg account.

Hi @Matthias_Quellmann and @Ed_Doll . I’m in the same situation: after a long hiatus I need to install my Cubase 11 AI but cannot activate the soft eLicence. I did notice that when I log into the Download Assistant app, under My Products, there is a Cubase 15 AI showing (which I dont remember seeing before), it does install but when I launch it it simply says no license found on my account.

I notice it costs me £33 to upgrade to WaveLab 12 – I don’t actually want to upgrade. I was happy with the version I paid for, it just wouldn’t open.
Is there a solution to this or is an upgrade the only way now that your licensing system has changed?

If you really have Cubase Elements 11 you need to buy the update to the latest release. Just the AI and LE versions are free updates.
It is a Cubase Elements 11 indeed. But I have registered the Soft-eLicenser which enables you to purchase an update to Cubase Elements 15 even without having a local license available.
