Cubase AI 9.5.0 crashes with Q-link

Apologies if this has been addressed before:

My Cubase AI 9.5.0 build 55 (on Windows 8, 64 bit) freezes while selecting / removing insert plug-ins qith Q-link on (multiple selected channels).
The CPU goes nuts to 99% for Cubase in the Task manager.

Any thoughts?

I would recommend to update to the latest Cubase 9.5.41. Does it crash after?
