I am considering buying a UR44 & am wondering if Cubase AI with its limit of running 32 audio tracks if you can have “disabled” tracks in the project? I have previously used Protools LE 7 which allowed 32 audio running but unlimited “disabled” tracks allowing various ideas & takes to be stored in the project if required later or for reference - (this helps the work flow while composing new tracks) - I plan in the future to upgrade to Cubase Pro & UR824 but this is for a small home/bedroom setup for the time being…
It Is possible with Cubase elements 8, so probably also with LE/AI 8
It’s not even possible to disable tracks in LE or AI.
Then as Grim says.
