Entered ACCESS CODE BUT WHEN I TRY AND USE CUBASE.
I KEEP GETTING NO VALID LICENCE ALTHOUGH IT SHOWS AS SUCCESFULLY LICENCED IN
STEINBERG LIBRARY.
CAN ANYONE POINT ME TO AN IDIOTS GUIDE TO INSTALLING AND ACTIVATING CUBAS AI AS i HAVE NOW RUN OUT OF IDEAS THANKS.
Ideally you should write with upper and lower case letters, makes it much more readable.
What release of Cubase, what Operating System do you have? If it is prior to Cubase 12, does the eLicenser show it on your system. If it is Cubase 12 did you activate it via the Activation Manager.
Shouting is never helpful.
The lower ‘i’ betrays a Caps Lock discrepancy…
I Have cubase AI 12 and windows 11 and yes I activated via the activation manager.

Why do Cubase make it so difficult thanks.
So if the Activation Manager shows Acticated, what does the products page in your mySteinberg account online show.
Does it show your computername as activated and a date?
If both sides, Activation Manager and the products page are showing Activated can you simply try, as another step, to reboot the machine, so that everything is clean and no dangling processes are around.
The procedure is pretty simple, install the software, launch Activation Manager, login to your account and press the Activate button.
Given up now looking to download Cubase AI, but all I can find is Cubase LE AI.
I can understand Steinberg making it difficult for cracking software. but not at the expense of genuine users. will stick to Ableton. who don’t force you to download all that unnecessary software to install and activate your product.
I’m just glad I didn’t pay for the full version.
Steinberg has shielded themselves from their customers. They sell you the software and if something goes wrong you are out. Terrible licensing scheme (it’s too complicated) they use 3 different programs to license the software.
The download manager, the activation manager, and eLicenser, plus their website, so it’s really 4 places where the software needs to be activated it’s a mess.
I’m frustrated and disgusted because I did like the program, but not with all these headaches.

All you have to do is enter the download access code into the Steinberg Download Assistant. Your Cubase download should then appear under My product downloads. If for some reason it doesn’t, click the Cubase section in the Download Asssitant and then click the icon for your Cubase version.
To check which Cubase version you have, please run the Steinberg Activation Manager. If the license doesn’t show up:
