Cubase AI5 not installing

Hello,

I’ve recently had to change my harddrive on my MacBook Pro as my old harddrive was failing.

I’ve tried reinstalling Cubase AI5 from the CD. It starts installing, gets close to finishing, but never quite makes it (it seems to get stuck).

The CD I’m installing from has Cubase AI5 version 5.1.0. I think that the most recent version is 5.1.1. The OS X on my MacBook Pro is 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).

I was wondering, is the CD version 5.1.0 incompatible with 10.6.8? I obviously can’t run an update to 5.1.1 as I can’t install Cubase AI5 at all.

Has anybody else had this issue and is there a way to resolve it?

Thanks,

Ben.

P. S. I know that both Cubase AI5 and OS X Snow Leopard are old, but I still use them!

Hi,

Cubase AI 5 is not officially compatible with your macOS version. But it might work. Try to use Steinberg Application Installer Tool for Mac OS X, please.

After installing, you have to reactivate your Cubase to the new system.
