I have just bought a Yamaha MG166cx-usb desk which came with AI5 software. This is most probably a realy silly question but can I record more than 1 channel at a time? (i.e. If I have Guitar on channel 1 and Vocals on Channel 2 on the desk, can I set AI5 up to record both channels simultaneously as separate channels in the software. Sorry if this sounds a bit silly but I’m more old school and computer recording is relatively new to me.
With the MG166cs-USB, you could record two channels at a time, but you would need to pan one hard left and the other hard right. Then in Cubase, setup two Mono audio tracks. Set one to Stereo In Left and the other to Stereo In Right. I hope this helps!
