Hello all,
I am a newbie to the world of home recording so please excuse the amateur speak 
I purchased a Yamaha MG12XU Mixer, and it came with a free version of Cubase AI7. The mixer has it’s own USB direct connectivity to my PC, so there is no need for a recording interface.
I downloaded the Cubase program from Steinberg’s website, registered it and it all installed successfully. The program also booted and opened up successfully and I was able to get into the program as if I were to start recording something. However, once I downloaded the Yamaha MG12XU driver, the Cubase program fails to open, and instead apphangs on “Initializing Steinberg AsioSetup YS Driver Extension”.
I have tried unplugging the mixer USB cable. The program successfully runs again. I then thought to reinstall the Mixer driver, however once I plugged the mixer back in the Cubase program apphangs again. I then thought to uninstall the Asio Lower Latency Driver, so as to have Cubase automatically reinstall it again for me with no luck, and then I even reinstalled the overall Cubase program . However it still apphangs.
I am wits end with this and cannot find anything specificially related to these drivers on the forums. If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated.
