Cubase Ai9.5 duplicate withought shared copy?

Is there a preference that will let duplicate not create a shared item, just a normal copy?

Hi,

By default the duplicate is not a shared copy. Actually I don’t know, how to use Duplicate function (if you really mean Duplicate, not Drag and Drop) with a Shared copy. Can you describe, how do you Duplicate, please?

By default, if you want to make a shared copy, hold down Alt + Shift and move the event. Shift is the one, which makes the shared copy.
