Hi
When I use Cubase 13 and Dorico 5 together on my Mac, I have quite often issues with the MIDI-input. It’s like Cubase will not “allow” Dorico to use the MIDI-in. I will then have to close the project in Cubase and then Dorico will react to MIDI.
Is there a solution?
Thanks!!!
I’m on PC, but I use a software MIDI router to route the signal to multiple MIDI ports simultaneously. For example, I’ve created a “Dorico MIDI Port” and a “Cubase MIDI Port” and use Bome to route the MIDI signal. That way each program can use an exclusive MIDI port and can receive the MIDI input from my keyboard at the same time. Bome works for both Mac and PC so you could try their trial.
I have no idea if that sort of thing is already available through system settings in Mac, but for another option, I believe @Brian_Roland uses Bidule for this, which also is available for Mac and PC.
