II’m using essential 4 on two computers. A laptop and a notebook. I would like to upgrade to artist6 but my notebook is not able to support it. So I would like to know if essential4 will still work with the licence of artist 6?

Unlikely as Artist is a new product.
If you are adding the upgrade license $99, then yes it should. I am upgrading my mobile Cubase Essential 4 to Cubase Artist and My Cubase 5 to Cubase 6. You’ll be able to still use Cubase Essential if you choose to.
