Cubase Artist 8 Crashes on opening

Hi guys,

I recently bought Cubase Artist 8, which I was running on my PC. I have since bought a Mac, so downloaded the software from my account at Steinberg. It’s all installed and updated, but when I try to open, it crashes unexpectedly, every single time. I am running OSX Capitan.

I think it’s to do with the License, since when I opt to use the Cubase Pro 8 trial instead of Artist 8, it opens without a problem.

Any thoughts?

Hi!

Have the same issue as you. I can open the trial version, but my version dosn’t work.
Would love if someone could figure this out! Gonna see what I can do myself, but at the moment I’m out of luck.
