Since I updated my UR824 driver, Cubase asks if I want to use the Yamaha ASIO drive every time, even if I select"don’t ask again". Is theer a way of avoiding this PITA?
I was working on an unrelated problem the past couple of days, and the solution involved deleting my preferences folder. When I did, I got that prompt the first time as expected (since the don’t bother me again result wasn’t saved), and then not after. So, I would guess that this is somehow related to your settings.
Here’s the link support gave me, which was very helpful. Also, I was surprised to learn that a) renaming a folder doesn’t work unless you put characters at the beginning of the folder name and b) the preference folders for other Cubase versions can adversely affect the version you’re currently working with.
