Using the same interface, do recorded tracks (and playback) sound better in newer Cubase versions, than older Cubase versions? I am currently transferring many old cassette tapes using Cubase 10.5. I also have Cubase 11 and I also have older versions of Cubase installed and was wondering if I would get a better quality transfer using newer version of Cubase. Does it really matter? Are the audio engines different? …just curious.

no, not for that.
Somethings that would improve are improve convertors or add/improve clock to existing setup. I sounds like you know what you put in you will record but there are still lots of small details for each and every step audio path takes before it hits the digital.
