Hello , I am still on v14 and Win10 ( extended support , lastest update ) , RME Fireface UC, Ryzen 5900 , Gforce 1300 GT. I have a "slight " high pitched humm ( digital noise ) on my audio outputs when I switch to a small Buffer size ( 64 or 96 kb ) . This does not occur on Fender Studio (I got a license with a Faderport ) . Today I asked Gemini and Claude . They both wrote it might be due to differences in the audioengine and came up with many things to try ( had gone through most of those before when I set up this PC ) I thought about changing USB ports ( it sounds like an IRQ conflict , sometimes I have noise in Explorer when copying files ) and Claude also supposed that . So I tried to use another USB port for the USB fireface . Afterwards nothing worked anymore . Even after changing ports again . I got garbeled audio output . Funny enough playback worked when I switched audio drivers to Generic Steinberg ASIO driver . Even on 64 kb buffer . On the native RME ASIO driver only garbeled audio . After some hours of clueless fiddeling and rolling back ( Fender Studio was still working fine with the native RME ASIO driver ) I just reinstalled the RME driver . Now Cubase 14 seems to work again . Studio Pro was not affected . I will have to recheck the high pitched wine , I am too tired now. I remember something very similar happened some years ago . I remember only Cubase was affected and it was solved by reinstalling the RME driver . Does anybody have any input on this ? Thank you very much ! Cheers !

I have never experienced anything like this with RME. TBH, after reading your post a second time I can’t come up with a logical explanation.
