Cubase becomes permanently unresponsive after being left open overnight

Cubase is working normally when I leave it open at night. When I return the following morning, Cubase is completely unresponsive and the macOS cursor displays the spinning wait/beachball cursor.

The application never recovers, even after waiting. I have to use Force Quit and restart Cubase.

This appears to occur after Cubase has been left idle for an extended period, possibly involving macOS sleep/wake. Last seen on Cubase 15.0.30

Expected behavior: Cubase should remain responsive after the computer has been idle or asleep.

Actual behavior: Cubase becomes permanently hung and requires Force Quit.

I have this happen sometimes when a critical device goes offline. Did an audio interface or hard drive spin down and not recover, perhaps?

Just curious - why do you leave it running overnight?
