Enjoyed the demo of Nuendo 14 this afternoon thanks very much for the Nuendo teams hard work towards this.
Given that, as Timo pointed out, Nuendo 14 and Cubase 14 are developed on the same DAW/sequencer branch #14 I guess that does mean some persistent Cubase bugs will carry through into Nuendo 14.20? I’m particularly thinking of a failure to save the setup of midi remote devices which has persisted since ver 13.5 of Cubase (and therefore Nuendo) and is still being reported on the Cubase forum at ver 14.2. I tested today this bug on Nuendo 12 and 13 and found my control surface script and setup saved properly in Nuendo 12 but failed to save in Nuendo 13 - which is only to be expected.
A shame that with all the more sophisticated features in Nuendo 14 that this potentially straight forward bug may still persist. I hope it doesn’t and will certainly test further to see if it is a third party script failure - but it never gave me trouble in Nuendo 12 - so I still kind of hope it won’t be in Nuendo 14 when I get to buy the update on 19/03/25.
