Cubase changes "Ramp" to "Step" even though "Ramp" is default

Seriously feel like I’m going insane here.

I have “Type of New Controller Events” set to “Ramp”.

All the dots in my controller lane are set to Ramp.

When I copy the dots and paste them somewhere, Cubase changes the first/last CC dots to Step, even though the dots I copied were Ramp!

This means every time I copy data, I have to:

  1. Zoom in and select a tiny microscopic data point. (And probably six others by accident)
  2. Mouse all the way up from the bottom of my screen to the top, to the Info Line.
  3. Toggle Step to Ramp/Curve. (And if other data points are selected, it will show Ramp/Curve, meaning you have to click it twice to switch them all).

Older versions of Cubase did not have this problem. Surely there must be some setting or workaround that I’m missing? I spend hours fine-tuning CC data, so I deal with this like 600 times a day.

Hear hear. This is absolutely beyond frustrating.

Allow us the true option to keep Step or Ramp as default, no matter what!

Right now, no matter what is being recorded, the next CC data always reverts back to Step EVERYTIME. I have to keep changing to Ramp in the Info Line, and even this compartment in the Info Line, macros won’t allow me to get to it.

Not everybody is a song producer who only needs Steps. And even in those categories, they would also benefit from being able to have the choice.

PLEASE address this, someone! Anyone from Steiny!
