i had a look for fixes for crackling output just today
many had similar problem and id tried many of their ideas if not all
decided to try one id dismissed from the start
switching off multiproccessor option
and it worked for me … just checking for side effects running full tracks now
please ignore this as although recording new is great old tracks lock up …sorry
