Cubase crashes every day!

Despite myself I went and purchased the update (and upgraded from Artist to Pro). There is a glitch in the upgrader that I am waiting for an answer for (lol) but when I have it installed I will be able to report back if its fixed or not re, the ucrtbase.dll crash.

If 11 is better I might just upgrade and call it a day on any future upgrades (I like to round things off lol). They have a few features I would be interested in this time around but I can wait. I’m already on Pro so the upgrade is £85 which isn’t too bad.

How is Cubase 11 serving you so far? Any hiccups or does it seem pretty stable?

It has been more stable. I haven’t had any total crashes. My first couple of sessions ended with an error msg telling me to save and restart but I haven’t had that since. There are a couple of graphics glitches with the HD but overall it looks great. I am satisfied I think.

To me it looks like we are all getting the run around. There will be no fix and just purchasing the next upgrade will not fix it! That is what I thought and I am still sitting with an unusable DAW after up grading from Elements 9 to 9,5 to 9.5 Artist to 10.5 Pro not to mention the money that it cost me! I really can’t believe that this has happened to me and all you other people and they still haven’t fixed it!!

I have some good news to report concerning my crashes. After thinking about the problem perhaps being with the drivers for the gpu and cpu I was able to find an update for my AMD graphics and cpu dated Dec. 8th 2020. I downloaded and installed that driver and Cubase 10.5 pro has been working for about 30 hours with no crashes. I hope It will continue to work for me for obvious reasons but I thought I should report the success that the new driver has proved to be so far. Thank you.

It crashes 3-10 times a day, depending on how much you use it or how long your sessions are. Sometimes it crashes and you have to restart or when you start a new session it reports that it ended with a crash dump even though that was not evident.

(cubase 10.5, ryzen5 3600xt, nvidia 1065, 16 gb, 512 evo860M2, RME BF, 2 screens).
I have the notion that it happens more often when waves plugins windows are left open on shut down or generally plugin windows are left open. Sometimes it crashes when trying to access values in plugin windows or RME totalmix window)

Two words for everybody - class action.

10.5 is a discontinued, no longer support version. Read the eula.

Coming from me as an attorney….Two words for you-
