Cubase crashes every time I close it

Pretty much will crash most of the time when I quit. I deleted my preferences and started in safe mode, but get same result. Is there a way to see what is causing this. I think I just saw an ntdll that it reported which didn’t help much. I’m on windows 8.1 pro.

Cleared preferences, booted in safe mode, reinstalled 8.5…same problem. running Windows 8.1 Pro. Here’s what crash report says:

most probably linked to a plug-in. The fault module is part of C++ Redistributable 2013, please re-install it and see if it resolves the issue: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
