I am still using Artist 7.5 and haven’t changed it or upgraded it at all. It begins to load but shuts down before it gets to the final screen. This is unnacceptable

Try to reinstall Cubase (as administrator, of you are on Windows) and try to (backup and) delete Cubase preferences.
