Cubase cutting off the ends of imported audio files

Sometimes, when I’m copying audio files from one project (CTRL+A, CTRL+C) and pasting into another project with the same sample rate and bit depth (CTRL+V), Cubase (13 Pro) cuts off the end of the audio file. I have to manually drag the end of the file until it fully appears. Does anyone know why this would be happening please?

Hi,

I don’t know why does this happen. But isn’t it better to use the Import from Project function?

I’m copying all the automation points as well. So I’m using CTRL+A then CTRL+C. Then I’m activating the other project and using CTRL+V to paste into the new project. Your method overwrites things like the tempo track data. I’m not pasting at the beginning but at a point further on in the project. So I need all current data before the paste point to be kept, not overwritten.

Hi,

You can choose, which track(s) to import.

I don’t want to import actual ‘tracks’, just audio files and automation points. Import tracks from project will add extra tracks and the imported tempo track will overwrite previous data. Your method won’t work.

Hi,

Not really. You can import it to the already existing tracks.

You don’t have to import the Tempo track. And if you import it, it will move the original Tempo data to the Version 2, so you can easily retrieve them.
