This used to work fine, but now when I cycle record midi (I usually just put the locator a bar before end of loop and start playing at beginning of cycle), I always have notes cut off but recorded after the loop end. ALso, lanes are created for some reason. This seems to start happening after upgrading to 15. Maybe some preferences weren’t carried over

I’m afraid that we are in need of few more things to help. What is the source of the recorded MIDI messages and, more important, how are set the options of the MIDI Record Mode parameters ?
And I’m not sure that I get this :
…because the end of loop in cycled recording mode is using the right locator, already.
Beside this, could you explain what your two screenshots are actually showing ? A more simple example of the issue with a step by step repro would be more useful, I think. Additionaly, a screenshot of your Preferences > Record > MIDI panel would also be welcome.
