Cubase does not allow to reactivate locked plugins

hello, when I try to reactivate plugins from alliance plugins that are locked in Cubase 12.0.10, Cubase crashes. I can’t find a solution to that problem. Thank you

Windows 10 Pro- Cubase 12.0.10

You’re welcome! What is your question?
Could there be a reason why the plugin is blocked?

You are trying to activate the VST2 versions I believe? The VST3 versions work fine.

There is an issue with VST2 versions of PIA plugins atm.

Hi Phil, I downloaded the VST3 version plugins from the official PA page. Cubase recognizes them but sets them as locked. When I try to reactivate them, Cubase crashes and exits. I can’t find a way to fix this

OK here are the steps, (sorry I was away from computer). Do all these to be sure, it may look like a lot but can be done in 5 mins:

  • Uninstall all your PIA Plugins (VST2 and VST3)
  • Get the latest PIA Installation Manager (1.2.4)
  • Select the plugins to install and install ONLY the VST3 versions.
  • Go to: %appdata%\Steinberg\Cubase 12_64 (copy and paste this link to your file browser)
  • Delete the file: Vst2xPlugin Blacklist Cubase.xml
  • Start Cubase

Tell me what happens, show screen shots if it fails please.

Hi Phil!! It worked correctly. I can now use my plugins. Thank you very much!!
