Cubase doesnt play midifiles

Hi

I Imported a midifile from a mate and tried to load it in Battery 4. All the samples were loaded correctly and when I hit the corresponding key in the Key Editor I hear the sample. However, when the midifile is played, I hear nothing. Also, I enabled the option ‘any’ in the midichannel from Battery. How can I enable sound when playing the midifile? Thanks!

Hi,

Do you use MIDI Tracks or an Instrument Tracks? Make sure, the output is routed to the Instrument (Battery). Also make sure, you are sending MIDI data on MIDI Channel 1 (I’m not sure, if Battery can receive data on multiple Channels).
