Cubase doesn't show my new VST Effects?!

windows / cubase 11 pro. never had that issue before.

i downloaded two new effects. i scanned. first it didn’t even find them, even the paths are all there. then it did find them, but they are just not there.
i searched for the names, searched every effect folder. nothing.

any idea?

What does it look like in your VST Plug-in Manager?
Are the added plugins listed under the Blacklist tab perhaps?

Hi,

Do you use the default plug-in collection?

they are both in plugin manager under effects. it says they are in fx/distortion. but they are not there.

what do you mean? if i changed the name of the plugin folders? like distortion or anything? i did for some

If you use custom plugin collections you have to add any newly installed plugins in those collections. Or you can use the Default plugin collection.

you mean going to plugin manager and scan the folders i guess? yeah i did that.
i installed new plugins 100 times. never had this issue.

like i said. it even says they are under fx/distortion in the plugin manager effects list. but when i look for them there - they are just not there.

When you go to add your plugin, look for this button:

Click it and make sure you have “Default” selected.

damn, that was it! thanks a lot, but now - how do i get it in my custom plugin list.
i just tried in plugin manager to copy or something, but i can either choose the default list or my custom plugin list, but not move from default in that list.
how can i do this?

Drag’n’drop the effects from the left side into the collection on the right side.

Hi,

Or use the default plug-ins collection.
