Cubase/Dorico Pro Interfaces

I use Cubase15 Pro/Dorico Pro. I use UR44 i/f but need to increase input channels to 8 minimum. Can users please let me know what i/f you’re using effectively or not! Can’t believe Yamaha/Steinberg has no such active products since they’re actively selling CB/Dor.

Considering Focusrite, Fender/Presonus or used UR816C but worried SB will stop support.

I own 2 MR816CSX basically boat anchors now since even with the PCIe Firewire card w/ TI chipset on the card was unable to get working well…moving on. Thanks. dp

Hi there,

I have been using a Tascam US 16x08 which has 8 TRS Outs with no problem for a couple of years. It is USB. I believe it is an older device, but I have had no issues with it using Cubase 15 Pro. I am thinking that I would like to have 12 Outs but the closest thing I can see for that is a MOTU 16A which is more expensive but it is a Thunderbolt device…

I hope you find one that works for you.

Considering Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, Fender Quantum HD 8, others in that range…

Only drawback is it maxes out at 48kHz sample rate, but for my work it is okay

I’m normally 24/48k but would need to do 96k

That is where the MOTU 16A would be a good solution. I use 8 but would like yo have 12 do i am right in the middle…lol
