I have just this week tried to start using Cubase Elements 11 but it is not working for me. Even though the soundcard I have (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2) was set up correctly for the computer and was put as the main output for sound, I cannot hear anything I have made, like a drum track, where there are marks on the sound graph but no sound. For recording, I can hear my instruments when put through the direct monitor option, via headphones, but not when I play back the track after a recording, nor are there any sound graph marks, even though the soundcard is responding to the instrument. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you disable Monitor button in playback, please?
Do you mean the ‘monitor’ button beside the ‘record enable’ option? I gave that a go but it still does not seem to work.

Thank you very much for your help, as I was taking a screenshot I noticed that the audio output was not connected, and now that it is, it works.
