Cubase Elements 14 proof 60 days

Hello, I recently purchased the 60-day trial version of Cubase Elements 14, it was downloaded and installed correctly, when opening the program, when it starts to load plug-ins it stops at: initializing scanning VST3 plug-ins and stays like that, it doesn’t work. I restart the PC and try to open the program and I get some options to enter, the only one that lets me enter says “disable all third-party plug-ins.” This way I manage to enter but in this option the program does not have VST instruments, please help. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

It seems, one of your VST3 plug-in is either faulty or very heavy. What kind of VST3 plug-ins do you have installed, please?

You can try to remove/keep the VST3 plug-ins by the binary search way, to find out, which plug-in is the problematic one.

Thanks for replying. I don’t have many plugins installed. I’ll check what you said to see if I can find the corrupted one. Thanks.

Hi Martin.Jirsak, thanks for your information. I solved the problem. I had a WaveShell-VST and a WaveShell VST3 in the VSTPlugins folder, which were preventing the program from working. I removed them and everything works correctly. If you’re so kind, I have a question for you. At the top of the program, there’s a tab in the middle of the window and a Hub called “VSTCloud.” When I click on it with the mouse, it doesn’t do anything. It doesn’t display a menu, it stays the same. My question is: Is it not working because of a program error or because it’s a trial version? Thanks.

It’s a Pro feature for remote recording. VST Cloud is a misnomer, it should be VST Connect, which is what you get.
