Oh, you are right about that - itās just Cubase. I might be wrong but I think that last yearās sales included other products as well, no?
Iām also suprised that I havenāt found any official announcement, yet. Maybe they have a sequential roll out of the summer sales? Steinberg sales work in mysterious waysā¦
All of the non-Cubase vouchers are full version only so theyāre no good if youāve already got the products. I would have upgraded Spectra 12 ā 13 and Absolute 6 ā 7. But not doable with vouchers at this time. Iāll wait as itās a ājust becauseā update for me in both cases.
The Cubase Pro Adavantage promo is of no use for me, because i have all 4 versions. An upgrade sale would be more useful ( i could get Absolute 7 from 6)
Agreed, I have Spectralayers Pro 12, so would have upgraded to v13 if it were discounted, I guess Iāll wait for the sale.
I usually get the email after Iāve bought the thing.

Iāve also found a couple of vouchers which are not exactly temptingā¦ Same price like crossgrades. Also, not taking into account what I already own.
I donāt get why they donāt offer more personalized vouchers based on a customerās registered products. Shouldnāt require rocket science to figure that one out?
This is only advertised as a 40% off Cubase 15 sale, from what I can tell. Iām not sure why anyone would expect anything more. Then, when Steinberg offers 60% off vouchers for other products there is an uproar. I donāt get it.
This is a Cubase sale. If you donāt have the other products, you can also benefit from a very good deal if you choose to take advantage of that. If you do have the other products, wait for another sale. Itās really not that difficult to understand.
They are obviously trying to lure āCubase onlyā users into purchasing other Steinberg products. After that, hopefully banking on those users to continue updating more than one license. It makes business sense to me.
Iām seriously considering the 60% off full WaveLab even though I have been maintaining a (basically useless) WaveLab Elements license.

Just another data point but with previous versions of wavelab, spectralayers and halion, can confirm that useless vouchers are a net annoyance.
Itās probably on auto pilot. Every account might get them just because.
While you might not be able to use them unless you want extra licenses, you can give them to friends.
I only found out about this āsaleā because of a BestService (dot com) Newsletter and I then went to the Steinberg site to see if BestService Cubase offers were also on there.
Anyway then to me then the most attractive about the %40 off the upgrade to Cubase 15 is the %60 off vouchers , which as I now have had confirmed from reading here is not valid for upgrades and cross-grades which makes the whole voucher thing seem pretty useless and idiotic to me , because then Steinberg is like doing a %60 off sale on the full version of the %60 off things also but only to those already owning Cubase 15. (full version %60 off sale exclusively for Cubase 15 owners).
I of course think that the %60 off vouchers given for Cubase 15 ownership also should have acted like a further loyalty incentive and thus allowed already owners of other Steinberg software like me to e.g. cross-grade my Halion 7 to Absolute 7 at %60 off or upgrade my Wavelab had I wanted to.
Never mind , Steinberg appear to be not very interested in getting my money. I think that I will totally pass this not really that much of an End of Summer 2026 āsaleā and wait for (an)other sale(s)ā¦

I have renamed the title of this thread to Cubase sales because itās all built around C15 and exclusive offers for C15 owners.
@Scab_Pickens I wouldnāt call it an uproarā¦ Steinberg applied a filter (C15 owners) before sending out vouchers. I donāt think it would be terribly difficult to apply a couple of additional subfilters to tailor vouchers which take existing licenses into account. Be it a previous version of a product or the number of plugins you already own if you want to go with a suite like Absolute. Fabfilter does this kind of thing.
Steinberg misses an opportunity here and thatās kind of surprising. No uproar, offers are always welcome
