Cubase error on start up

Hi
2 issues possibly related to each other.
1 when i launch cubase im presented with the following screen which is not normal.
2 amplitube 4 wont launch in cubase anymore as a vst or even a standalone.

All was working well until suddenly it wasnt.
cubase le 11, amplitube 4 max, windows 10 all updated.
any ideas what could have happened?
Now when i launch cubase i have to pick an option and also amplitube 4 wont launch in vst, just get this error message.

This isnt a duplicate, they are 2 seperate issues.

I uninstalled amplitube and reinstalled, now it works in stand alone. I boot cubase and again get the safe mode pop up, so i select middle box below preferences, and amplitube launched.
