Hi.
I’m totally new to this though worked in the music bizniz for 30y. My Cubase Pro 13 crashes as soon as I want to use Steinberg’s “own” URC816C. My computer uses it whenever I do something else. But as soon as I start Cubase and select the UR816C as an output, I get the beachball forever.
Anyone have any tips?

Hi and welcome to the forum,
Could you please attach the *.ips file?
Hi Martin!
Thx for your response. I don’t have an .iso file as it doesn’t directly “crash”. I just get a beach ball that’s spins forever and in the Dock it says it “Isn’t responding” on and off and only way to get out of it is to force quit it in the activity monitor. Waited 30 min once after I gave up waiting.
Everything is up to date with the latest updates.
Thx in advance if you have any tips for me.

Mac: macOS Console utility > Crash Reports (or ~user/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports).
It turns out that the firmware of the interface was the problem.
After updating it, the whole system is working perfectly.

Hi Ed_
I’ve updated everything as well, changed ports, cables, bought new cables, tried to change from internal to UR816 after the Cubase started, and it hangs. Doesn’t “crash”, just freezes, and only things I can do is force quit. Glad to hear it worked for you!
I got it to work! After I downloaded the Beta v.4 I got it to work! Either the 3.1.0 at Steinberg, or the 3.1.7 at Yamaha’s website worked. But the beta did. Hope it’ll keep on working. Hehe.
