Cubase graphics are just fine, if not good

Track Controls

Well, now I’m positive you’re not understanding the difference between UI, UX, and feature set in the context of this conversation. It’s been an interesting discussion and I should have probably asked for some examples from you earlier on.

Feature set is part of UX… Is it me who doesn’t understand?

This is an appropriate use of AI, because broad average definitions are already understood.

it’s features that provide all of this.. and the UI of the features… what is the software… without features?

Not sure why we’re talking passed one another on this?

See the link that was pasted before - https://lawsofux.com/

I think that site breaks some of its own laws :stuck_out_tongue:

Why do I have to comb through that entire site to get your affirmation? What is different about that site vs what I said, where am I wrong?

How will that site explain to me that I am wrong about listing ‘improved/added track controls’ as a UX improvement?

Because you keep asking us to spoon feed you information.

Well typically I fire people who can’t explain themselves properly, especially complainers who don’t provide solutions or at the least, have a contact/know who can.

Linking to a site doesn’t tell me anything about your contentions with Cubase design. It’s very easy to open up a photo/graphic editor and do a mockup of what you think would be better.

It’s an involved topic. It seems you are not understanding the fundamentals and there is a wealth of information out there should you wish to educate yourself. Good luck!

Okay, well link me to that then instead of an avant-garde new age site on UX… Because I read a few complaint threads before creating this one, so maybe I haven’t found the right ones.

I think it’s important to be very exact with criticism and suggestions, otherwise developers might over compensate in the wrong ways, or resources might be spent on something that doesn’t need to change… Because people have been complaining about Cubase GUI since… forever, and every iteration seems to bring a new group of complainers - so we might just be going in circles.

Another huge UX and UI improvement is the new hub, a search filter is something I asked development for directly, as I have a ton of templates specific to project types broken down by production, recording, mixing, sound-design, and even plugin specific templates…. Cubase 14 and 15 are major celebrations for me.

No we’re not.

You play on stage with floodlights?

For me, the track header was indeed much better in C12 : I’m still struggling with the actual meaning of some new button icons which were as clear as can be in C12. Furthermore, they were very representative of what Cubase has been through the years and now, they look as a bad copy of Logic. Why did they changed it ? A mystery…

But beside this, I have no opinion on the new Control Room layout and absolutely prefer the new MixConsole behavior and layout over the C12 one, so…

I watched a great interview Rick Beato did with Steve Lukather on Youtube last night. A quote I loved and really stuck with me, Lukather said “before Pro Tolls there were pros”.

Not sure what the context of your reply is to me and what it has to do with lighting, if it’s in criticism or affirmation…

But, I’m not really with that quote either way… What does it mean? Especially in the context of my post - because before tape… there was… candle light.

Sorry friend. I failed to see the quote button when I responded. The UI of this comments section is not well implemented.

No worries,
