Cubase hanging INIT MIDI

So I cannot open Cubase 15 at all, it hangs repeatedly at INIT MIDI. Tried the safe mode with pref disabled, still hangs at MIDI.

I read somewhere this is due to the new MIDI implementation from Windows. Anyone else had this ? Seems Reaper is suffering from the same MIDI issues, I cannot open that either. Or FL Studio. lol whole system is broken.

And as if by magic it stars working again…… 15 minutes at the INIT stage then suddenly works. ><

Posting this so we can point people to this post vs cluttering up the forums with discussion about Microsoft bugs. The Windows MIDI Services rollout started at the end of January. Since that time, we’ve found a few issues. Some of which have already been fixed and have those fixes going out to customers starting the end of last month. I don’t think it was that. I don’t have anything in the inmusic list. But the problem resolved itself now for some reason. I joined the discord anyways, just in case something else happens !
