Cubase how to arm record so in starts when signal is heard

I am sure there is a way to do this but I have had no luck searching on google. Is there a way to arm a track and have cubase start recording when an input is heard?

I don’t think so.

I had this option on my hardware EMU sampler back in the day. Never seen it on a software DAW though.

Thanks for the reply. I believe Ableton has it on their looper audio effect. You press record and it doesn’t start until mic input is heard.

Cubase is probably the wrong tool for this, but WaveLab has plenty of options:
