Cubase iC Pro on Android - anyone use it?

Two things:

  • Cubase iC Pro for Android is 50% off in Cyber Deals
  • Wait, what? It had completely passed me by that it was available again on Android!

In the long intervening years, I tried Avid Pro but haven’t really stuck with it… there’s kind of too much of it, if that makes sense.

Anyone using the Android version of iC Pro and can give an unbiased review, while the sale is on? The problem I find with apps is that there’s a lot less info and reviews available than for software, the ratings on Play Store are pretty dismal though.

Thanks in advance

I do use it, it provides the usual transport buttons, l/r positions, tempo, quant, snap, punch, metronome, the mixconsole (the basics, volume/pan/mute/solo/listen,monitor/record) and sets of commands. These sets can be edited to our liking, i.e. we can choose a command for each “button” in the grids. All in all, working as expected, and fits well with a controller we don’t want to overload with functions.
Here’s a current view of my s22 with icPro on a kk mk2

Thanks @m.c

It feels a bit ridiculous to be thinking about buying an app (even a cheap one) when Avid Control is free and looks to do so much more.

That said, iC Pro looks easier to use, has a friendlier UI, and is maybe just a bit more… Cubasey?!

I looked at it a few months ago on android and bailed on it because of the multiple negative reviews and a comment from Steinberg that said that it wasn’t working.

I just went and looked again and it has no reviews at all and the message from Steinberg has been removed. I’m not sure how they’ve managed that.

This is ordinary when we change the apk’s name. I suppose this is the case.

Works for me here. I think you’re referring to an older version.
