Cubase keeps lowering inputs on M-Audio Control Panel

How can I stop or control Cubase from continuously lowering all my inputs via Direct Monitoring? I’d like to leave Direct Monitoring enabled for recording. However, every time I turn around Cubase has again lowered all my inputs. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks Ben

A more detailed explanation is needed. Is it lowering the inputs in real time as you record or after you restart Cubase, etc.? What sound card? Computer specifications and setup? Screenshots may be helpful.

I am running Cubase 5 on Win 7 64 using a M-Audio Delta 1010. The delta 1010 control panel faders are being pushed down all the way at randomly, but only during stop and start of playback… not during playback.

Have you checked for the most recent version of the audio interface driver?
FWIW, you are still not giving much information to work with.
