I’ve been doing extensive testing comparing some of my orchestral templates that I have duplicated between Logic Pro and Cubase 11. Very consistently, I’ve found that the same instruments and effects have more overloads in Cubase than LP (a particular example would be scripting-heavy Kontakt instruments from Cinesamples). This is exact same patches & audio settings.
In order to get roughly the same performance stability from Cubase, I have to double the buffer size. I’ve experimented with all of the audio system settings with no noticable changes. This is on a 2018 Mac Mini i7, Catalina, MOTU M2 interface.
Has anyone else noticed this degree of difference? It’s a little frustrating since Cubase is my preferred DAW at the moment.
