Hello, I have an alesis Io2 Express UB interface, but I can’t find the CD, it had a Cubase LE version in it (I don’t rember wich version) could it be possible to get a cubase that works with this interface?

I purchased a Tascam US 1800 a while ago and already installed it on anothter laptop that doesnt function anymore. I also cant find the Cd do install ist anymore… Is there a way to download LE5 and activate it on the new laptop again? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I do have my original Tascam US1800 Cubase 5 LE istall disc.
It works fine on my 2012 macbook pro, still running it on os 10.7.2

I just bought a backup computer, as i use it live.
The “new” computer is another 2012 Macbook Pro, but it was refurbished with OS 10.10.5

When i try to install, i get a popup window saying that i need at least 10.5 to run it.
But it HAS 10.10.5 sooooooo…
Do i need to downgrade to run Cubase LE5?

One thing i cant find though, is my original box and inserts for the US 1800.
Wasnt there some sort of code we needed to enter in the elicense?
It’s not letting me log in with my old user name & password either.
And the site isn’t letting me make a new one, tried on 3 different computers today.

So, is there any help for me?
I really want to have a backup system of my bands gig set on the road in case my main laptop breaks.
It’s 7 years old…
I also do own cubase 7, but I dont’ want to bring that on the road for fear of losing/breaking the dongle!

any help appreciated!

I did google around and found that tool, tried it, still failed.
However, I found a tutorial about opening a file with text edit and deleted some lines, and it seems to have worked fine.

However…

I still cannot register my old Cubase 5LE because the Steinberg.net site will not respond when I click on “Create Steinberg ID”.
Nor does it accept my user/pass that I had created for this forum.
Is something wrong with the site?
