Good morning everyone,
For about two days now, I’ve been having a problem where my SQ 5 is no longer recognized as a MIDI controller via the Mackie protocol. Before that, everything worked perfectly. In Cubase, the SQ MIDI ports are recognized and displayed as active.
When I move the SQ faders, I get a “MIDI in” activity, and when I move channel faders in Cubase, a “MIDI out” activity is displayed. What am I doing wrong?
SQ settings: General/MIDI/ – MIDI DAW Control Channel 2, MIDI Channel 1 SQ MIDI Control
driver settings:
Mixer: SQ; MIDI Channel: 2 ; Protocol: Mackie Control (Standard) Selection: MIDI Ports Input Port: SQ MIDI Output Port: SQ MIDI
My attempts so far have been:
1. Deleting and reinstalling all Mackie Control instances.
2. Updated and reinstalled the Allen Heath MIDI control driver.
3. Reinstalled the SQ firmware.
4. Updated and reinstalled Cubase 14.
I’m currently a bit stumped.
I would be very grateful for any advice.
Best regards, Bernhard Schneider
