Cubase mp3 export/import

I exported a wave file in C7.5 to an mp3 (worked fine), but then it wouldn’t allow me to import the newly created mp3 file (I was just looking to see any differences with the wave form).

It showed an error - ‘Cubase is unable to import this kind of file’ - which seems rather odd!

Any ideas?

Ok, just got it sorted

I just needed to rename the mp3. I guess it was trying to convert the mp3 to a wave file under the same name it was exported, but I still had the original wave in a C7.5 track with the same name. Obviously doesn’t automatically re-name it!
