I’ve been experiencing an issue in Cubase 15 that’s been driving me mad and I can’t find any information about it.
In the Mix Console, use shortcut to solo or mute selected track.
It solos/mutes a completely different track.
Select the track in the project window to make it the active window.
Now use the shortcut again → The correct track is soloed / muted
Go back to the mixer → it gets stuck on wrong track again.
Somehow in the mix console it always gets stuck on one track. If I use a bunch of random fuctions in the mix console, like activating and deactivating q-link, or even bypassing or unbypassing inserts of all visible channels, it can become unstuck. It’s not clear to me exactly when and how it gets stuck.
I’m not sure if I’ve activated some obscure setting or if cubase 15 is just buggy.
I have mixer and project window synced. ‘Track selection follows event selection’ is off.
I’m on MacOS Sequoia, M1 Mac Mini, Cubase 15.0.20 Build 226
@hildemann I’ve tried all versions from Cubase 15 to Cubase 11, and it’s exactly as you described! I never noticed it before because I don’t use the keyboard shortcuts for solo and mute in the MixConsole.
I do notice that when I add extra tracks during a session (not normal as I have a reasonably comprehensive template), it can push tracks to the end of drop down lists and seems buggy for routing/sometimes become inaccessible etc. If I save and reopen, it seems to reindex the tracks and its all ok again. I can’t reproduce the bug you have reported. Im on C12 PC
